These Illustrations/photos by Ben Heine remind me a lot of the Sleeve Face Photography post from a few weeks ago. It’s pretty much the same concept with the exception that illustrator Ben Heine blends real life space with his Illustrations. I thought these were cool and worth sharing. I can’t tell if he is final is Photoshopped. What’s your take? Check them out below.
Lot’s of corporations are having a hard time wrapping their heads around social media. Most have a “If you build it they will come” mentality. But there is more to social media then simply having a facebook page. You have to do something with it. It’s nice to see Levi’s leveraging the new Facebook “like” plugin launched last week. They’ve integrated the new “like” feature with every product on the site so at a quick view, you can see the number of facebookers who like the item and also cast your own vote. The Water Poster awareness campaign by Solidarites International blew me away. They used a technology called Aquascript to type set messages entirely composed of falling water. The Solidarites International Water Poster seeks to warn the world about the problem of a lack of drinking water in impoverished countries. The problem kills about 8 million people annually infected by ingestion of dirty water.

I’m not a big tea guy but this tea infuser by designer Pablo Matteoda from Argentina is killer. (Sorry I couldn’t help my self) Simply fill the Sharky Tea Infuser with loose leaf tea and let it float around a cup of hot water. The shark fin on top of the infuser sticks up from the surface as it leaves a trail brewed tea in its wake. The Sharky Tea Infuser appears to only be a design concept for now. I hope they produce it. I’d buy it. You can check out more photos at designboom.
